How long should my hair be to get wax? 

You'll get the best results if you let the hair grow to about ¼ inch so the wax can fully adhere to the hair. You should be able to grip your hair without pinching your skin.

 

Do I need to prepare for my wax?

No, our Estheticians will take care of everything and thoroughly explain our waxing process. We just kindly request that you arrive on time.

 

Can I wax during my menstrual cycle? 

Absolutely, we can wax you if it's that time of the month. But, do keep in mind that the area will be more prone to sensitivity and you may experience more discomfort than usual. We do require a fresh tampon to be inserted prior to the start of service. 

 

Will my hair grow back thinner?  

As the hair is pulled from the roots, this reduces hair growth. However, everyone’s hair growth varies based upon waxing consistency and aftercare. 

 

How often should I get a wax done? 

The typical length between wax appointments we recommend getting waxed every 4 weeks. This is usually the right amount of time to have the hair at a decent length, and will also allow the skin to be less sensitive to treatments.

 

How can waxing be less painful? 

Taking pain relievers can aid to lessen the pain while waxing. Taking ibuprofen, in particular, can reduce any swelling that comes after the waxing. Avoid any alcohol beverages as it can dehydrate and will tighten the pores making the waxing more painful.
